Ladies and gentlemen, I will be in Germany in exactly two weeks! Oh my gosh! These past few months, I’ve had trouble believing that I’m travelling abroad, but the fact that today is my last day of work makes everything somehow real. From now on, I will be completely busy.
But I will also have a blast, because some very special events are in order. Here’s what my itinerary looks like for the next two weeks:
1) Last day of work
2) Road trip to D.C. for my niece/nephew’s baby shower
3) A dear friend’s wedding back in Florida
4) Checking out houses to rent my senior year
5) Back home for one day of packing before my flight
It’s going to be an insane roller coaster. And yes, I do that to myself all the time!
And yet, I wouldn’t miss for the world the chance to celebrate the arrival of my niece or nephew into the world, or to celebrate my friend’s long-awaited wedding. As I was preparing my plans for Germany months ago, I was very worried that I wouldn’t be able to go to the baby shower or the wedding. God worked it out somehow, and I couldn’t be more grateful.
Actually, now that I think about it, it’s probably a good thing that I’ll be running around these next two weeks. Better than sitting around with travel anxiety and driving my family crazy.
